Ready for a smoother ride without the surprise bill?
From flat tires to full brake overhauls, we keep your vehicle running right — with honest diagnostics, clear pricing, and work you can count on.
Complete auto care, from tires to transmission
Whether it's a routine oil change or something that needs a second opinion, we've got the tools, knowledge, and patience to get it right the first time.
Tire Services
Tire mounting, balancing, rotation, and repair. We carry a wide selection of tires for sedans, SUVs, and trucks — and we'll help you find the right fit for your budget and driving style.
Brake Repair
Squeaky? Pulsing? We'll inspect your brakes thoroughly and explain exactly what needs attention — pad replacement, rotor resurfacing, or a full system flush. No upselling, just the facts.
Oil Changes
Conventional, synthetic blend, or full synthetic — we'll recommend what your engine actually needs. Quick, clean, and done while you wait.
Engine Diagnostics
Check engine light on? We'll plug in, read the codes, and tell you what's really going on — not just what the scanner says. Honest recommendations, every time.
Suspension & Steering
Bumpy ride? Vibration at speed? We'll track down the issue — struts, shocks, tie rods, control arms — and get your car tracking straight again.
Heating & A/C
Blowing hot in July or cold in January? We'll diagnose and repair your climate control system so you stay comfortable year-round.
Your neighborhood shop on Rockaway Turnpike
Tires On The Rock is a locally owned auto repair shop right here in Hempstead, just off Route 24. We started with a simple idea: treat every customer's car like our own, and every repair like it's the only one we'll ever do.
That philosophy shows up in the details — we explain what's wrong in plain language, we never recommend work you don't need, and we stand behind every part and every hour of labor. When you pull into our bay, you're not just another ticket number.
Built on trust, not upsells
Flat-rate pricing, no hidden fees
We quote before we start. You'll know the full cost before any work begins — no surprise add-ons, no "while we're in there" surprises.
Experienced, certified technicians
Our team brings years of hands-on experience across every major make and model. We keep learning so your car gets the best care possible.
Quality parts, backed by warranty
We use reputable parts suppliers and stand behind our work with a solid warranty on both parts and labor. Drive away with confidence.
Convenient location, flexible hours
Right off the Rockaway Turnpike with easy access and parking. We work around your schedule so getting your car fixed doesn't mean taking a whole day off.
What our neighbors are saying
Real feedback from real people who trust us with their vehicles.
"I've been bringing my cars here for years. They're always honest about what needs to be done and what can wait. That's rare these days."
"Flat tire on a rainy Tuesday and they got me in the same day. Fair price, quick work, and they even checked my other tires while I was there. Really appreciate that."
"They caught something at my last inspection that two other shops missed. Honest, thorough, and they don't try to sell you stuff you don't need. Highly recommend."
